Ah, I miss SMASHED!BLOCKED!... Back when I lived in NY, I was one of the club's first go-go gals ("The Fabulous Chi-Chi" :), along with feisty ass-shakers Tosha Marquee, Miss Chloe and Miss Colleen at Riffifi. It was a fun time... And it sounds like the club has ballooned into something truly great! Anna Copacabana looks fabulous (the blond wig!), the site is getting more and more colorful and funky, and I definitely would love to check out SMASHED!BLOCKED! at new residence Beauty Bar. Josh and Layla, I've said it before, and I'll say it again: come DJ in Los Angeles! (By the way, a new club here called Satisfaction -DJ-ed by Tony the Tyger and Rena La Reine- is debuting this Saturday (March 12) at the Derby, and should hopefully be the West Coast equivalent of SMASHED!BLOCKED!). Rock and roll, garage, freakbeat, what have you. For those of us who angy go-go vs pitter-patter on the dance-floor, these clubs are welcome!
